Kellie Hansen is a Social Worker/Counsellor with over 6 years of experience working in Bunbury and Melbourne communities. She takes a strength based, trauma informed, holistic and collaborative approach that is sensitive to her client’s needs, to build trust, safety and rapport within the therapeutic relationship.

Kellie has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in a range of areas including domestic violence, sexual assault, war trauma and torture, neurological conditions, Employee Assistance Programs and forensics. She has experience supporting people with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, chronic pain, life limiting illnesses, trauma, stress management, relationship issues, parenting, anger and psycho education.

Kellie’s interest area also includes nutrition and mental health. This has led to her currently studying a Certificate in Nutritional Advice to further explore the impact that nutrition has on mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.

In her work, Kellie draws on a range of therapeutic interventions including Focused Psychological Strategies, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Neurobiology, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, Expressive Therapies and Play Therapy. She regularly undertakes professional development to ensure her knowledge and skills are consistently improved and updated.
