Belinda is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. Her strong passion, and interest in, counselling with children has been an ongoing motivation for all that she does. Since becoming a mother, Belinda brings her personal experiences of parenting into her clinical practice.
In her work she utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focussed, Interactive Drawing Therapy, Expressive Therapies, and Play Therapy.
Belinda has experience in outreach services, within the area of family and domestic violence, including group facilitation. During her time at Centrecare, she was able to work across a variety of settings and with a broad number of issues. She has provided clinical supervision for over sixteen years; this is an area of professional practice for which she is enthusiastic for. Most recently, two years in Broome and the Kimberley have added significantly to Belinda’s knowledge, understanding and experience. This change also brought the opportunity to expand her knowledge in Palliative Care and supporting patients and families dealing with end of life issues.
